WAMS Club Meetings

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at the First Baptist Church of Lacey  at the intersection of College St. and 22nd. Arrive at 6:00 for socializing, general meeting starts at 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Club meetings agenda includes old and new business, demonstrations and informative presentations on rocks and minerals, silent auctions, and a “Show-and-Tell” segment for members to exhibit and talk about their favorite rocks and lapidary work.

Join us for fun and excitement discovering the marvel of rocks and minerals at the 2026 Rock Rendezvous during the Oregon Trail Days in Tenino.

Formed in 1937, Washington Agate and Mineral Society (WAMS) of Olympia is the oldest rock club in Washington. The club is recognized as a non-profit, tax-exempt  organization 501(C)(3). WAMS-Olympia is  affiliated with the Washington State Mineral Council and the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies. Membership in WAMS-Olympia is open to anyone with an  interest in rocks, and lapidary arts

Accepting Donations

WAMS accepts donations of rocks and rock collections!  Do you have piles, buckets, or boxes of rocks? Agates, petrified wood,  thunder eggs, crystals, obsidian, fossils, jasper or rock cutting, polishing equipment and  supplies? Do you want to downsize? Maybe we can help! We will also buy specimens, collections, and bulk quantities.

WAMS is recognized as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization 501(C)(3). Donations help support our mission of teaching Earth Sciences through public programs, outreach, and youth education.
