July 22-23-24, 2022: Free Attendance – Rock, Gem, Fossil and Mineral Show (Tenino, Washington)
28th annual Washington Agate and Mineral Society’s Rock, Gem and Mineral Show in Tenino, Washington. Held the same weekend as Tenino’s Oregon Trail Days celebration.
Show runs Friday July 22nd and Saturday July 23rd, 9:00 am-6:00 pm, and Sunday July 24th, 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
Attendance for the show is free. The show is educational and fun for all ages. After all, who doesn’t like rocks?
Event is held at in the Park near the pool and Quarry House in Tenino ,Washington 98589.
Vendors will be selling a variety of rocks, jewelry, beads, gems, crystals, fossils and lapidary equipment for rock cutting, polishing, etc.
There will be rocks, minerals and fossils, door prize tickets for sale and demonstrators showing how to make a variety of items with rocks, stones, beads, etc. Spinning wheel for little and big kids.
Great way to introduce your kids to science through geology.
For those coming from out of the area, Tenino is about 15 miles south of Olympia just minutes from I-5.
If you are also interested in the Oregon Trail Days Celebration, there is the annual mountain men encampment with blackpowder musket shooting competition, vendors and food for purchase.
Oregon Trail Days is held in the Tenino city park at the same time as the Rock and Gem Show. Attendance for that event is also free.
Parking for both events is also plentiful and free.
